So disappointed in service
On January 10, I went to the Portland Post Office to do a temporary change of address form so that our mail would be forwarded to us in Florida. Since we weren’t leaving until January 25, the lady at the counter told me to come back the week before we left to turn in the form. I went back on January 18 and set a start date of January 20—Jason was working the counter and he said that would allow just the right amount of time so that our mail wouldn’t arrive at the VRBO before we arrived—but, we would begin receiving it there shortly after we got there. As of today, I have not received any mail. I called the 800 number for the USPO (the only number I can find anywhere on the internet, Portland no longer has a phone number listed). The customer service person checked my account and said that my request wasn’t processed until JANUARY 29! Today, I had someone check my mailbox at home, just in case mail had continued to be delivered there—and, sure enough, we have a box stuffed full. So, all of the bills, statements, absentee ballots, tax information, etc. that was supposed to come to us in Florida is still setting in Portland, Mi. I am VERY UNHAPPY with this poor service and would like to talk to Jason in person, but unfortunately, can’t find any way to contact him until I get home. Come on, Portland PO—you need to do better than that!
